Position: Food Runner
Job Summary: Join Lafayette as a Food Runner and become an essential part of delivering a seamless dining experience to our guests. As a key member of the service team, your role is crucial in ensuring that dishes are delivered promptly and accurately from the kitchen to the tables, contributing to the overall success of Lafayette.
Responsibilities:
- Retrieve prepared dishes from the kitchen and ensure they meet Lafayette's presentation standards
- Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to coordinate the timely delivery of orders.
- Effectively communicate with servers to ensure accurate and efficient service.
- Verify the correctness of each order before presenting it to the guests.
- Assist in maintaining a smooth flow of service by delivering dishes in a timely and organized manner.
- Respond promptly to any additional guest requests or modifications to orders.
- Monitor and communicate the status of the dining area to the kitchen and service team.
- Uphold Lafayette's commitment to exceptional customer service.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Food Runner or in a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Physical stamina to carry trays and navigate the restaurant space.
- Flexibility in work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
