Position Overview:
The Runner is responsible for maintaining the smooth flow of service in the dining room, overseeing expo stations, and delivering food and beverages to guests. This role plays a vital part in creating memorable dining experiences. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, detail-oriented, and works well in a team.
General Requirements:
- Assemble a variety of dishes and beverages accurately and with presentation standards.
- Set up and maintain the expo area, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and adequate stock.
- Break down and clean the expo area nightly, following sanitation guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff for seamless order delivery.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and food safety guidelines.
- Assist with additional tasks, including table bussing and restocking supplies.
- Maintain a professional appearance as per the restaurant's dress code.
- Attend and participate in team meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in a high-volume restaurant.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Previous experience as a Runner or server assistant in a full-service restaurant.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation.
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Punctuality and reliable attendance.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
