Food Production Operator

Job Summary:

The Production Operator conducts the operation of various types of machinery within production. This position will set up and operate machinery for production.

Qualifications / Specifications:

• At least 1 year of prior food machine operator experience or 1 year of machine operator experience.
• Operates various machinery used in production.
• Follows correct safety, operation, quality, and sanitation procedures for equipment at workstation.
• Ensures quality control principles in area of responsibility, including proper assembly, storage, tracking, and handling of materials for their work.
• Good attendance is a condition of employment.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to lift, push or pull objects of medium to heavy weight (50 pounds).
• Must follow directions.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instruction.
• High school diploma or GED required. Preference will be given to candidates with technical training or technical certifications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 45 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• machine operating: 1 year (Preferred)
• Food processing: 2 years (Preferred)

• Day Shift (Required)

• Hamtramck, MI: Relocate before starting work (Required)
