Job Summary/ Objective:
Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day handling of all Warehouse functions to assure compliance of all company and food safety requirements.
Essential Job Functions/ Food Safety Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate activities of Leads within the department.
Assign workloads and daily tasks to Warehouse Associates.
Monitor inventory and shipment transactions for accuracy.
Engage in verifying and keeping documentation of incoming shipments (receiving, shipping,
handling, distribution, and storage) of all product and supplies that come into the warehouse.
Ensure inventory and storage areas are clean and maintained.
Monitor Warehouse Associates to ensure safety procedures are being followed when operating
forklifts and other machinery.
Ensure the corrective actions are taken properly and in a timely manner.
Coordinate with Quality Assurance and Production and take preventive measures to avoid reoccurrence.
Identify discrepancies between inventory records and take action.
Communicate and coordinate with operations regarding quality and/or food safety issues with
incoming shipments or stocked products.
Oversee all department associate training on safety and work process.
Able to establish and maintain a positive work environment within the department.
Other Responsibilities:
Other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Senior Supervisor.
Understand MSDS records and standards.
Minimum Requirements/ Education Requirements/ Licenses and Certificates:
High School Diploma or GED required. (English-Spanish preferred).
Proficiency in computer usage (Microsoft office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Tracking
system.
Ability to operate hand tools and mechanical equipment.
Background in material handling and stock control.
Bilingual (Spanish)
- Minimum of 2+ years supervisory experience, preferred.
- Must be familiar with GMPs, SOPs, HACCP requirements and comfortable working in cold environments
- Assign workload and daily tasks to associates
- Good documentation skills of incoming shipments
- Inventory control, identify any discrepancies
- Oversee associate training on safety and work processes
- Computer literate – MS Office, tracking system
- Knowledge of OSHA Standards, USDA, HACCP, and EPA Regulations.
- Bilingual preferred
