Job Overview
Major Responsibility Areas:
- Supervises food and beverage employees and outlets; supervises and directs service staff to perform at the highest levels of guest satisfaction.
- Maintains knowledge about food products being served; maintains as knowledge of all beverage products.
- Ensures that guidelines are followed for proper cooking, food handling and serving; ensures that beverage products are prepared and served properly.
- Supervises bar presentation and appearance according to standards of any programs or events.
- Inspects work areas to ensure sanitary standards are met.
- Responsible for closing food and beverage outlets; performs inventorying duties.
- Ensures storage areas are being kept clean and that food and beverage items are being rotated and par levels are met.
- Handles customer complaints in a professional and polite manner.
- Responsible for training new or existing employees on job responsibilities; documenting safety related issues and concerns; ensuring employees are appropriately trained in recognizing safety hazards; partaking in accident/incident investigations; addressing safety issues or unsafe working conditions; creating, implementing and communicating safety initiatives for the department.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma required. Must have 1-2 years' work experience in a hospitality-oriented position; supervisory experience highly preferred.
- Experience in beverage service operations is essential; strong wine and liquor knowledge is required.
- Must have the ability to follow instructions, be able to support a flexible work schedule and have the ability to perform job responsibilities under limited supervision.
- Effective organizational and human relations skills are an absolute must.
- Must have working knowledge of all MS Office applications.
- Micros POS and Food Trak knowledge is preferred. HAACP, local state/county or similar Food Handlers Certification is also highly preferred.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to risks associated with travel between buildings and back and forth to other areas as may be required due to business demands. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, including second-hand environmental smoke. The employee may be exposed to the risks associated in attempting to resolve issues with extremely irate or difficult guests or staff members. The noise level in the work environment varies from light to moderate.
