SUMMARY: Responsible for providing support to the Food and Beverage staff by ensuring excellent customer service to all guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following is a list of major duties and responsibilities for this position along with certain supportive duties. It is not all-inclusive. Other duties or responsibilities may be added.
- Project an outgoing professional and courteous customer service attitude to all guests.
- Provide quality and timely support to the Food and Beverage Manager by (a) providing backup in that person’s absence (b) participating in planning and special projects (c) implementing and managing assigned projects (d) recommending enhancements and changes to improve operations.
- Track daily labor and match it to labor for each shift.
- Provide input to the Food and Beverage Manager regarding quality, visual appeal, and timeliness of food service.
- Provide training and set a good example to new associates.
- Complete and issue performance reviews.
- Greet customers in a timely and pleasant manner by making contact, being friendly, showing willingness to help and being attentive to their needs.
- Prepare the tables, ensure the condiments are refilled, and all other preparation tasks.
- Maintain proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses.
- Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges, or make change (if applicable).
- Reconcile cash register at the end of shift.
- Attend and participate in required meetings.
- Maintain a consistent and regular attendance record.
- Ensure compliance with all Human Resource policies and procedures, promotes an environment that treats all people with respect, and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental policies, procedures, and regulations within the department.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.
- Protect and increase the assets of the Company.
- Any other duty as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Minimum two years of experience in a fast-paced food service environment with increasing responsibility with at least one year of supervisory experience.
- Must be able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must be 21 years old or over.
- Must possess a valid California Driver’s License.

- Must be able to handle extended hours when necessary and varying shifts.
- Ability to influence others in a positive manner.

- Provide support to other departments as needed to reinforce the best interest of the Mechoopda Casino.

- Lift up to 25 pounds with occasional lifting of 50 pounds.
Standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching with hands and arms may also be required while performing the job duties.
