FOOD & BEVERAGE, Lead Cook Senior Living Community

Our family owned and award-winning Senior Living Community, is searching for a mature, reliable, and capable individual to join our Food & Beverage team. Our F&B department provides opportunities to continue to grow and gain experience with various positions essential to the food and customer service industry. Advance through excellence!

Position Available

• Experienced Cook.

Responsibilities:

• Cook a variety of high quality dishes in large quantities
• Responsible for ensuring proper meal preparation and assuring meals are served on time
• Ensure all meals are attractively plated
• Control portion size and mitigate waste
• Train staff as needed to all tasks within the Kitchen
• Determine/order Food & supply needs based on menus
• Inspect food products and supplies as needed
• Ensure work environment and stations are clean and sanitized
• Comply with outlined safety regulations and procedures
• Responsible for creating weekly menu & scheduling of Food & Beverage employees

Qualifications:

• Culinary certification or degree from a culinary school preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• 2-3 years food service or restaurant experience required
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
• Comfortable standing, stooping, squatting, twisting, and moving frequently
• Ability to pass a food service sanitation course
• Familiarity with general kitchen equipment and appliances
• Strong working knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, & safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to read, comprehend and follow recipes.
