We are seeking a highly motivated service-minded professional to join our team as Food and Beverage Manager for a SEASONAL POSITION from May 1 through the end of summer 2024. The ideal candidate will have a strong front-of-house presence throughout the resort, managing staff and overseeing execution of food & beverage services to our distinguished guests at various onsite venues. This role will ensure effective and efficient operation of all facets of the resort Food and Beverage department, while constantly seeking opportunities to improve operational efficiencies consistent with the high standards of service that is in alignment with the mission, operating philosophy, and values of Spruce Point Inn Resort and Spa. This high-profile leadership role is ideal for a service minded leader with a strong F&B front of house background. This position reports directly to the Food and Beverage Director.
Qualifications:
Job Description: (General responsibilities. Other responsibilities as assigned.)

  • Provide leadership and oversight with responsibilities in the overall F&B program.
  • Collaborate with other resort departments ensuring key F&B objectives are met.
  • Attend weekly BEO meetings and relay information to staff for execution of event.
  • Provide daily shift pre-meal gatherings reviewing pertinent information to team
  • Weekly scheduling of team members ensuring staffing levels meet forecasted business
  • Respond to needs and requests of guests, potential guests and Resort team members.
  • Ensure that implementation of standards of food, beverage and service quality are commensurate with a first-class operation.
  • Implement effective cost controls for food, beverage and labor that are within company guidelines.
  • Must be able to understand, read and explain profit & loss statements, labor reports, cost reductions, including labor.
  • Develop workable systems for inventory, receiving and product utilization (product cost).
  • Analyze, Develop, and recommend standards of productivity for Food and Beverage personnel.
  • Be proficient with the Point-of-Sale system.
  • Work collaboratively with other Resort team leaders and personal to create an enhanced esthetic vibe within the F&B department including uniform standards, lighting, music, and a positive working environment.
  • Create and maintain a comfortable atmosphere to encourage committed and loyal team members.
  • Oversee hiring and training programs for Food and Beverage personnel.
  • Oversee weekly payroll timekeeping as well as other cost controls for department.
  • Assist in all Food and Beverage outlets in whatever capacity needed.

  • Experience level:
  • 1-year Supervisory F&B Front of Hose or 3 years’ experience Front of House in higher-end environment with preferred banquet & catering operation.
  • License/Certification:

Compensation Range: The compensation for this position is $1,200.00/Wk. - $1,400.00/Wk. based on qualifications and experience.
