Description
Join our Finishing Team! Mittera is currently seeking a Folder Operator on 1st shift!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up and run Stahl, MBO, and Baum Folders
- Evaluate and make decisions concerning quality of product while folding
- Review job tickets and plan work processes to meet customer specifications
- Prepare load flags on each outgoing load showing the next operation or destination
- Notify supervision of mechanical/electrical problems and complete "Work Orders" for parts/repairs that require maintenance assistance
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment
- Ensure good housekeeping practices are followed in order to maintain a clean, healthful, and safe work area
- Assist on other machines as needed
- Assist with hand work as needed
- Listen to and follow directions of the supervisor
- Ensure production meets department goals and metrics
- Follow all PPE and safety procedures and assist Operator, crew, and department in identifying areas for improvement in safety
- Complete all annual compliance training
- Meet company standards for attendance and punctuality and communicate effectively with team members
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Previous Folder Operator experience preferred but not required
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred
- Effective communications skills
Physical Requirements
- Requires use of proper body mechanics with pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, squatting, kneeling, and bending
- Pushing/pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Salary Description
$18 - $22/hr.
