WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Flyknit Production is essential for Flyknit footwear concepts that drive product creation and decision-making at NIKE! We do everything from developing new designs and technologies to producing one-of-a-kind products for NIKE's most high-profile product lines. Our team is a vital component in developing the future of NIKE footwear. We're looking for a Flyknit Specialist I to be part of our Bowerman Footwear Lab and Flyknit Product Creation team at NIKE's World Headquarters.
This candidate needs possess the following traits and skills:

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
As a Flyknit Specialist I, you will be an essential member of the Flyknit Production team. Critical to supporting the overall strategy of the Bowerman Footwear Lab and Flyknit Product Creation. In this role, you will be relied upon to help elevate and identify ways to accelerate our current manufacturing processes, challenges, quality, and tools including:
  • Project manage multiple Flyknit footwear concepts, drive collaborating with creative solutions and provide quality feedback to Flyknit Programmers, Engineers, and product collaborators
  • Technical Specialist to fabricate, manufacture, analysis, and finish Flyknit upper concepts
  • Own technical expertise for assigned machinery including:
  • Documenting operating procedures and key takeaways through project lifecycles, solving mechanical issues in conjunction with Flyknit maintenance team
  • Communicating standard technical information and/or operating procedures when projects or partners require information
  • Onboarding new team members or stakeholders through hands-on immersive training
  • Problem-solving technical and non-technical issues through fact-finding, seeking clarification and basic analysis
  • Support data collection, evaluation, and reporting relevant to Flyknit production (e.g., machine setup/adjustments, defects/quality, and other knit critical measurements), and make operational decisions based on results.
  • Implement tasks with flexibility and the appropriate sense of urgency
  • Cultivate a deep understanding of knit footwear concepts with a focus on accelerating product performance, problem-solving production quality, and speed to market.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
  • You will work multi-functionally and collaborate with Flyknit Programmers, Engineers, Materials, and Maintenance to explore, develop, and deliver high-quality and timely NIKE Flyknit products.
  • You will be interacting with partners in Nike's Global Footwear, Innovation, and Dimension teams to create Performance, Lifestyle, and sample Flyknit footwear models.

WHAT YOU BRING
  • Associates or bachelor's degree in Textile, Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field is preferred
  • 2+ years relevant work experience in footwear product creation, knitting or related field and industry
  • Thrive in fast-paced manufacturing environment; familiarity working on Stoll flat knit machines, CNC's, Cutters, or related technologies
  • Effective project management skills and related software's (Workfront, Airtable)
  • Experience in engineering and/or manufacturing in a high-volume production environment creating high-value products
  • Passion for making; technical confidence working with your hands
  • Versatile, thorough, problem-solving skills, and comfort operating in ambiguity
  • Ability to drive collaboration and communication within a complex group
