Responsibilities:
The Floreo Coach reports to the General Manager’s designee and implements one to four Floreo clubs in a community, which will enable residents with mild cognitive impairment and early Alzheimer’s disease to engage in diverse programs inclusive of cognitive stimulation, emotional and spiritual support, volunteerism, physical activity and social engagement. The Floreo Club is developed within the community to support and sustain cognitive health and to promote the resident’s potential and sense of purpose.
The role of the Floreo Coach is to:
- Provide outstanding services to all residents, family members, responsible persons, and visitors.
- Effectively communicates verbally and in writing to team members, families, and residents on a regular basis.
- Oversee each Floreo Club and programming needs of the residents participating in the club
- Develop the Floreo club programs, calendar, obtain supplies and coordinate with the Salus Coach and Valeo Director
- Oversee and implement programming for two (4) hour sessions, per club each week.
- Assist with identifying potential candidates for the Flore Club
- Assist with identifying current and potential residents who could benefit from cognitive stimulation therapy sessions
- Review the MMSE and complete the loneliness scale for club members
- Participates in the wellness planning of residents by communicating observations to the Wellness Director, both directly and at team member meetings.
- Maintains a record of each resident’s participation and engagement in Floreo Club programs.
- Integrate Salus Signature Programs into the Floreo club programs.
- Notifies department managers in advance of work schedule variations.
- Oversee and coordinates support group sessions for Floreo club members
- Collaborates with non-profit organizations to involve Floreo club members in community service or volunteer opportunities
- Be a Fit Mind Certified Cognitive Stimulation Therapist and conduct group sessions during each club meeting
- Provides individualized cognitive stimulation sessions to residents and prospective residents who expresses an interest
- Incorporates emotional well-being into all aspects of programming through color scheme representation to elicit positive emotions during programming
- Accommodates special events, evening, and weekend programs, etc., in work schedules.
- Follows all emergency procedures.

- Two years of full-time experience in the recreation field in a senior adult population.
- Driver Requirements: State driver license required with clean driving record; must complete all HR policies and procedures for Community driver.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Basic typing skills and computer knowledge to include familiarity with MS Word and other pertinent software.
- Physically able to bend and reach.
- Physically able to push and pull and lift up to 40-50 pounds if necessary.
- Physically able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Successful completion of company Dementia and specialized programming in-services.
