Floral Associate - St. Peter's Hospital - Part-Time Days
Position Summary :
Prepares a variety of floral arrangements to stock Gift Shop. Provides special floral orders as needed. Trains volunteer flower aides to supplement and support flower program as available.

Principal Responsibilities:
- Provided quality cost-effective floral arrangement in a variety of settings by rotating flowers and supplies.
Provides accurate information regarding the purchase of flowers and supplies, assuming this responsibility when necessary.
Provides floral arrangements, which are appropriate for the season and for customer demand.
Understands instructions for assigned tasks and completes on timely basis.
- Maintains routine floral inventory.
Organizes floral supplies
Stocks basic flower supplies – provides accurate inventory of supplies.
Cleans all work materials – tools, vases, work area.
Assist in gift shop as needed
- Trains volunteer Flower Aides to supplement and support flower program when necessary.
Provides verbal instructions.
Assists with hands-on training classes.
Provides information to enhance the technique of Flower Aides.
- Provides special orders as requested.
Ability to create new types of arrangements based on customer’s specific desires.
Ability to fill large orders in a timely manner.
Ability to work without direct supervision.
Education Requirements : High School Diploma. Two year degree in floral culture preferred.
Experience Requirements : Demonstrated floral arranging skills in both fresh and silk flowers.
Pay Range: $16.20 - $19.74
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
All new employees are required to undergo and pass all applicable state and federally mandated pre-employment screening requirements.
