Salary1. Designing floral arrangements: Creating various types of flower arrangements according to customer preferences or event requirements.
2. Decorating for holidays: Decorating the store and creating themed arrangements for different holidays like Valentine's Day, Christmas, etc.
3. Cleaning buckets: Ensuring all buckets used for holding flowers are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
4. Cutting flowers: Trimming stems and removing excess leaves from flowers to prepare them for arrangements.
5. Prepping flowers: Processing fresh flowers, removing any damaged petals, and ensuring they are well-hydrated for maximum longevity.
6. Managing storefront display: Creating visually appealing displays to attract customers and showcase the variety and quality of flowers available.
7. Consulting with clients: Understanding the client's needs and preferences for special occasions like weddings, funerals or corporate events and recommending suitable floral designs.
8. Providing customer service: Assisting customers in the store or over the phone, answering their queries, and ensuring they have a positive shopping experience.
9. Cleaning and maintaining the cooler: Ensuring the cooler where flowers are stored is clean and at the correct temperature to prolong the life of the flowers.
10. Sweeping and cleaning the design room: Maintaining a clean and organized work environment for efficient operation.
11. Ordering flowers when necessary: Keeping track of inventory and placing orders with suppliers to ensure a fresh and varied stock of flowers.
12. Answering phones as needed: Handling customer calls, taking orders, or providing information about products and services.
13. Making flower deliveries if necessary: Delivering flower arrangements to customers' locations as required.
14. Designing décor for various occasions: Creating unique and creative décor items using flowers for different events or settings.
15. Directing classes when required: Teaching flower arrangement classes, sharing tips and techniques, and providing hands-on guidance to participants.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Weekends as needed
