SalaryReports To: Production Supervisor
Responsibilities:
Ability to use QAD System and assist floor personnel with timely transactions.
Read, comprehend, and complete the various packaging paperwork required for batch processing, including labels, logbooks, Packaging Records, and associated documentation.
Ensures that overall production flow remains steady and constant.
Must be proactive in maintaining and controlling labor costs.
Manage daily work activity in conformance to quality and GMP standards.
Ensure company policies, procedures, and work rules are being followed.
Ensure a safe working environment. Encourage personnel to work safely, preventing injuries and lost time.
Actively lead, and train, hourly personnel in operations. Assigning and directing work, and coordinating material usage
Other manual labor as needed.
Qualifications:
Associates degree and two years of manufacturing experience and/or five years related manufacturing experience including 1 to 2 years of experience leading/supervising in a manufacturing environment also required.
Minimum 3 years experience in manufacturing as a supervisor
Ability to lead teams
Ability to solve complex problems independently
Adaptability, and a capacity for working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Ability to work under limited supervision, and with others at all levels of the organization.
Must have a good command of the English Language, both written and verbal.
Able to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Ability to lift boxes up to 25 lbs.
Training:
New hires or transfers into this position shall be given a three-month trial orientation period in order to become proficient. Proficiency shall be evaluated by the area manager or trainer and become part of the employee’s training record.
