Floor Care Technician

Floor & Carpet Care / Utility & Special Services

Primary Position Duties:

1. This is an autonomous position unless additional crew members are required due to either the size of the job, time restrictions to complete the job, or both.

2. Schedule floor and carpet cleaning jobs, order supplies, and make ready all necessary equipment.

3. Load equipment, chemicals, and supplies securely in the company vehicle and unload at the job site. After job completion delivers back to the warehouse, unload from the vehicle, and clean equipment.

4. Move and replace furniture is part of the job as requested by the client.

5. Make sure to follow any building security protocols by clients while on the job site for entering and leaving their facility.

6. Maintain all company-owned vehicles according to their maintenance schedule. Assure all the vehicle is clean in and out.

7. Report accurate times to payroll on all jobs.

Other Duties:

1. Maintain cleanliness of janitorial closets at client locations. Organize, move/replace shelving or any other function deemed necessary to provide a clean and organized area for the Janitors to store equipment, chemicals, and supplies.

2. Use company logo stencil to place on all company-owned equipment.

3. Repair if capable; all equipment, maintain parts inventory for commonly broken pieces of equipment.

4. Maintain warehouse organization and warehouse cleanliness.

5. Respond to any needs as determined by the Director of Operations to support operations in the field.

Physical & Time Demands

1. Able to stand, walk, bend, squat, twist, and move equipment up/down the stairs if needed for extended periods of time when stripping floors and cleaning carpets.

2. Must be able to lift 50-100lbs.

3. Able to work safely when walking in wet slippery environments.

4. Able to drive extended periods of time if/when the job site is at a considerable distance.

5. This is a full-time position with occasional long hours; attendance is an essential function

Working Environment & Conditions

The right candidate is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Must occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs. The job's specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
