Job Summary and Qualifications

The Free-standing ED (FSED) Float tech is required to routinely work at all Trident Health System free-standing ED Imaging departments to meet the specific needs of these departments.

What you will do in this role:

The Free-standing ED Float Tech must perform all duties relating to the specific primary and post primary imaging modalities in which they are working (both RAD and CT).

The technologist must competently operate all diagnostic RAD and CT equipment ton include preparing the rooms with the necessary equipment and supplies for the imaging exam.

The technologist is responsible for assisting in the primary mission of the FSED Imaging department by ensuring that proper diagnostic information is provided through the production of high-quality scans, protocol adherence, critical thinking, excellent patient care, and obtaining clinically relevant history.

Other duties include, but are not limited to clerical, scheduling, transportation, ordering supplies, inventory, cleaning, and anything deemed necessary by the Medical Imaging Management Team.

What Qualifications you will need:

Education: Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology certified by the ARRT

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Must be ARRT (R) registered (required) with a post primary certification of ARRT (CT) preferred.

SCRQSA as required

BLS upon hire – American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Experience:

1+ years of experience in medical imaging preferred
