Job Description Qualifications:
Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Flightline Operations Manager (Level K) to support the 787-program teamin Everett, Washington or North Charleston, South Carolina with a Domestic Temporary Assignment in Victorville, California.
This position is a temporary assignment located in Victorville, California. Candidates will be provided a DTA (Domestic Temporary Assignment) benefits package as applicable.
This position provides a unique opportunity to learn the release process of aircraft for its first flight and to learn about airplane functionality. The ability to develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports is crucial to success in this role.
Position Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that air vehicles are completed and pass certification for airworthiness by overseeing final component installation, systems operation functional testing, modification, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, preflight and post flight checks, release for flight, and preparation for delivery.
  • Interfaces with flight crews, engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet product requirements and ensure customer acceptance.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed locations.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Possess an FAA Airframe and Power Plant License or the aircraft years and experience necessary to obtain an FAA Repairman's certificate
  • 1+ years of experience in a formal or informal leadership position
  • 1+ year of flight line operations experience.
  • Must be willing to work variable shift, including weekends and overtime

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 1+ years of experience in the aerospace industry
  • 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Products such as Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • 1+ years of experience in avionics troubleshooting
  • 1+ year of experience working with live customers.
  • 1+ year of proficiency using CMES and/or Velocity
  • 1+ years of experience working with cross functional teams
  • 1+ year of functional test knowledge

Relocation:
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. This position offers transportation benefits and a DTA (Domestic Temporary Assignment Benefit) based on candidate eligibility.

Summary Pay Range: $106,250-$147,400
