Job Description Qualifications:
Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking aFlightline Operations Manager (Level K) to support the team in Renton, Washington on variable shift.
This position provides a unique opportunity to learn the release process of aircraft for its first flight and to learn about airplane functionality. The ability to develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports is crucial to success in this role.
Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Ensures that air vehicles are completed and pass certification for airworthiness by overseeing final component installation, systems operation functional testing, modification, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, preflight and postflight checks, release for flight, and preparation for delivery.
  • Interfaces with flight crews, engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet product requirements and ensure customer acceptance.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans; implement policies and procedures; set operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers, and lead process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Actively promotes the growth and development of employees and fosters an environment of respect and inclusion.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops, and motivates employees.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Renton, WA.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Ability to work any shift.
  • Ability to work early mornings, holidays, weekends, evenings and overnights as needed.
  • 3+ years of experience in the aerospace industry.
  • Possess an FAA Airframe and Power Plant License or the aircraft years and experience necessary to obtain an FAA Repairman's certificate.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 1+ years of experience in a formal or informal leadership position.
  • 1+ year of flight line operations experience.
  • 1+ year of functional test knowledge.
  • 1+ year of experience working with live customers.
  • 1+ year of experience with any of the following: avionics, troubleshooting capabilities, functional test knowledge, release, ticket experience, manufacturing, and/or structures.
  • 1+ year of proficiency using CMES.

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
