About the Position
The primary duty of this position is to run state-of-the-art, modern HD Flexo film presses featuring low-migration/low-odor UV inks, LED curing, defect detection, auto registration and more.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable with technology; this position involves a high level of interaction with the press and automated systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
· Unsupervised setup, tear-down, and execution of all activities related to successfully running flexographic printing presses
· Perform all work in accordance with quality standards, including performing quality protocols prescribed in company Quality Program
· Utilize defect detection system, color qualification system and other measuring devices
· Participate in continuous improvement by recommending process, product, or machinery improvements and solutions
· Conduct routine press maintenance activities
· Maintain press area to comply with Food Packaging Safety and Physical Safety standards and regulations
· Ensure accurate data is entered into manufacturing paperless timecard systems
· Ability to work with deadlines and adapt to changing production demands
· Ability to work schedule as assigned
Position Requirements
Qualifications, skills and abilities:
· High school diploma or GED required
· At least two years of machine operating experience
· Good understanding of manufacturing processes
· Read and interpret written information
· Strong math skills and excellent measurement skills
Physical Demands and Work environment:
· This position will be on the production floor in a manufacturing environment
· Stand for long periods of time, with standard rest-periods
· Walk, stand, reach with arms and hands, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
· See and discern color
· Exposure to and work near moving mechanical parts
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
· Noise level in the work environment can be loud
