Seeking project-based billing Credentialing Specialist for temporary, part-time contractual position. Great opportunity for someone looking to earn extra income while assisting a mission driven non-profit! Flexible hours, some in office hours required but majority of hours can be completed remotely, if preferred. May be potential for ongoing work once project is launched.
Experience with Medicaid, Behavioral Health and SUDs billing required. Experience with ICANotes, E-prep, Incedo, NPEES and PECOS strongly preferred.
Goals of project will include:
- Work collaboratively with EHR specialist to configure system, troubleshoot issues for electronic billing, and provide input to develop Billing and clinician workflows for training manual. Current Service lines include: Provider type 50 - SUDs IOP (level 2.1), OP (level 1) and Provider type 54 – SUDs low intensity residential services (level 3.1).
- Assist with expanding services to additional location. We are now licensed for Provider type 54 – SUDs low intensity residential services (level 3.1) in two additional locations. We are also in process of applying for IOP/OP licensure for the same location. Areas we need additional guidance re: Billing and Credentialing include:
- Working with program managers and EHR specialist to apply for and/or correct issues with NPIs for new services using NPEES.
- Connecting NPIs and new providers to Eprep to be approved to bill
- Configuring set up for electronic billing in EHR
- Recommendations for how best to organize and manage ongoing credentialing tasks agency-wide.
- All sites will be adding Peer Services to billable services offered under Provider type 50. May need additional input with workflows to manage and report on these multiple services lines, billing practices and input re: reasonable billing staffing requirements as we add these services.
Qualifications
- Experience in Medicaid Billing and Credentialing
- Strong understanding of behavioral health services
- Proficiency in motivational interviewing techniques
- Familiarity with EHR systems
- Certification in addiction counseling or related field is a plus
- Ability to handle crisis intervention and management effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in billing processes
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Prior experience in social work or mental health counseling is preferred
