Job Summary
The Program Coordinator will support Benton County's developing Flexible Housing Subsidy Pool (FHSP) program, a systems-level strategy to fund, locate, and secure housing for people experiencing homelessness in a coordinated way to reduce the duration and frequency of homelessness in Benton County. The position is located within the Health Department in the Coordinated Homeless Response Office.
Additional core functions include:
• Support operational tasks of the FHSP including budget-related tasks, reporting, policy and procedure development, and contracting projects as needed.
• Serve as a central point of contact for county staff and community partners to quickly identify creative funding and housing resource solutions tailored to each household to help support financial, medical and other needs that ensure housing stability.
• Develop and maintain databases that track funding, participant eligibility, service referrals and service utilization.
• Work closely with community partners including landlords and property managers (FHSP partners) to access and develop a diverse and rapidly available housing pool to meet the needs of people experiencing homelessness in Benton County.
Please Note:
  • Limited Duration thru June 30, 2025: While further funding is a possibility, this position is a limited-duration position that is limited to the duration of the grant or funding source, or the duration required to complete the project assigned to the position which lasts no more than two years.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in health and human services, social sciences, humanities, social work, psychology, education, public health, or other related fields; AND
    • 1 years of experience in human services, social services, diverse populations, or other related field.
    An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted. Please note candidates must have at least 6 months of actual work experience to be considered as equivalent.
    Special Requirements:
    • Hiring is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
    The Ideal Candidate
    • Experience coordinating payment and billing of social services contracts.
      • Knowledge of principles and practices regarding invoice review and processing, particularly in the context of public administration.
      • Ability to plan, coordinate, prioritize, and implement various projects while managing multiple timelines and various project partners.
      • Experience preparing effective, concise, and complete reports on various operational topics in a manner that effectively communicates complex information to a broad range of audiences.
      • Proficiency in computer systems and applications, including Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Power Point).
      • A strong understanding of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and how to center these principles in all elements of public service work.
      • Ability to be collaborative and build and maintain strong partnerships with community-based organizations and internal staff.
      • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication, and time management skills.
