We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced mechanic, who specializes in fleet and landscape equipment repairs, for our Dover, Florida location.
The mechanic will also be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on all company vehicles, trailers, and landscape equipment. This role is critical to our organization because, without well-maintained landscape equipment, trucks, and trailers, we can not service our clients when scheduled. We also understand that well maintained and working equipment allows our employees to deliver the quality of service our clients expect from us.
The mechanic will also be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on all company vehicles, trailers, and landscape equipment. Responsibilities:
- In this role you will be responsible for performing the following duties:
- Preventative maintenance and service a variety of 2 cycle landscape equipment (commercial mowers, 2 cycle equipment), utility vehicles, trailers, and trucks.
- Performs full inspections of truck, trailers and lawn maintenance equipment in order to repair problems before they become safety issues.
- Responsible for managing shop/garage, keeping it clean, neat, and well organized at all times .
- Ability to order parts and supplies and maintains an adequate inventory.
- Develop and maintain a schedule for routine, preventative maintenance for all equipment, trucks and trailers
- Operates safely and maintain shop in a clean and orderly manner.
- Maintain communication with with vendors, all management, foreman and crews/coworkers.
- Punctual and adheres to attendance policy.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3+ years repair experience with mowers, small engines, 2 cycle equipment, and trucks,
- Must have a strong mechanical skill-set, including knowledge of basic electrical systems, hydraulic systems, mower technology and engines, both gasoline and diesel (prefer)
- Basic computer skills.
- Effective time management skills.
- A valid Florida driver's license and a clean driving record.
