We are looking for a Fleet Vehicle Title & Registration Processor to update and maintain information on our company database and computer system. Their responsibilities include inserting customer and account data by inputting text based and numerical information from source documents within time limits. Prepares state required forms for titling, transferring or renewing vehicles in their assigned state while maintaining paperwork that proves or supports workflow through transactions. Communicates to update customers on file status, and retains records of vehicle transactions.

Our ideal candidate, updates customers on file status through written and verbal interactions with all levels of customers ranging from state agencies to managers of organizations. The Processor retains records of vehicle transactions, provides support and offers solutions to meet customers’ needs through the ABS Tag & Title procedures.

Office hours: Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m.- 5:30 p.m.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing:
    • Processes Vehicle Titles, registrations, renewals, and state transfers accurately while adhering to state requirements ensuring vehicles are legal for use.
    • Handles state rejections and other title or registration problems in accordance with state regulation and customer agreements.
    • Prepares shipping labels and package for processing or completing transactions.
    • Maintains alphanumeric filing system.
  • Customer Service:
    • Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
    • Performs weekly follow-up with DMV or state agencies to address any pending concerns with titles or registrations.
  • Communication:
    • Build and develop professional relationships with DMV, state agencies, and customers.
    • Communicates promptly via email or verbally with client when jurisdiction requirements are needed to complete transaction submission (e.g., emissions check, weight slips, resolve outstanding violations, etc.).
  • Research:
    • Stays up-to-date on title regulations and procedures while maintaining a clear understanding of rules and compliance with all state requirements.
    • Researches missing or incorrect title paperwork and determines proper resolution in a timely manner.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Skills:
    • Ability to use standard office equipment (computer, keyboard, printer, scanner, copier, fax, telephone)
    • Basic computer proficiency and efficient in the use of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
    • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
    • Numeric and alphabetic filing skills are mandatory
    • Previous customer service experience skills and positive attitude
    • Prior auto title knowledge of local and other states is preferred
  • Abilities:
    • Attention to detail is a must
    • Must be able to view a computer screen for a significant portion of the work day
    • Ability to work in a fast-pace environment under pressure; meet time sensitive deadlines while maintaining accuracy
    • Must be able to work independently with little supervision

Education and Experience:

  • Education:
    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) (required)
    • Associate degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Experience:
    • Computer proficiency
    • Two years office and customer service experience
    • One-year Vehicle Title processing preferred

 

Mental/Physical Requirements: Involves sitting approximately 90 percent of the day for long periods of time, walking, lifting or standing the remainder. Involves long periods of looking at a backlit computer monitor, concentrating and paying attention to details.

Unique Features:.

  • Benefits eligibility from day one.
  • 8-hours per day/40-hours per week with flex scheduling between 7:45 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. and leave between 4:45 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.
  • Two paid 10-minute breaks each work day
  • Take your lunch for up to an hour between the hours of Noon and 2 PM
