The Opportunity

Visy Logistics, part of the wider Visy Group, has global and domestic logistics capabilities to service our expansive ANZ manufacturing operations and our growing 3PL customer base. Visy Logistics has significant growth objectives, and a key responsibility of this role is to develop land-based logistics solutions predominant across ANZ but certainly not limited to our local markets.

As our Fleet Supervisor, you'll be the backbone of our transportation operations, overseeing a fleet of vehicles and drivers to ensure the seamless movement of goods across various locations.

This role demands a high level of operational experience, customer service as well as attention to detail. This role works across multiple business units and requires strong relationship management.

Reporting to the NSW Transport Manager and based at Eastern Creek (3 days) & Ingleburn (2 days), you'll play a pivotal role in optimizing routes, managing schedules, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance. You will work around 2 shifts on a fortnightly rotation basis.

Your key responsibilities are, but not be limited to:

• Manage the day-to-day operations, ensuring safety, CoR and compliance in accordance with company policy and procedure and NHVR
• Develop and maintain excellent working relationships and professionalism with all stakeholders, customers, drivers and subcontractors and communicate effectively on planning and any delays that will affect their operation
• Pro-actively review operations with a view to efficiency improvements
• Manage and monitor driver's performance, leave entitlements, truck servicing, safety and hazard reporting and optimise company assets through double shifts, change overs and preloads to ensure each prime mover meets its utilisation at greater than 95%
• Load planning & optimisation via analytical solid skills with the ability to systemically plan resources
• Recognise opportunities to improve current processes and revenue margins through P&L accountability, understanding impacts to revenue leakage and cost creep
• Proactively managing sub-contractors and associated costs

What you will bring to the team:

• Significant experience in a similar Fleet Planner or Supervisor role in the Logistics, Transport or Warehouse Industry.
• Strong attention to detail with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Excellent working knowledge with Excel and transport software's (SAP, Ramco, MTData, WMS & TMS knowledge is desirable).
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team
• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities to handle operational challenges effectively
• In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders
