Fleet Safety Manager (Baltimore, MD) - Rise Through the Ranks in Safety (Trucking Experience a Must!)
Do you live and breathe trucking safety? Are you a problem-solver with a passion for keeping drivers and the public safe? If so, buckle up, because our thriving Baltimore, Maryland location is looking for a Fleet Safety Manager who can lead the charge and potentially fast-track to Regional Safety Manager within a year!
In this crucial role, you'll be:
The Safety Champion: Your trucking expertise is key. You'll develop and implement safety programs, monitor driver behavior, and ensure compliance with all DOT and FMCSA regulations. Think accident prevention, training, and incident investigation.
The Data Decoder: Analyze safety data to identify trends and risks, proactively addressing potential issues before they become accidents. You'll be the master of metrics and insights, driving continuous improvement.
The Coach and Mentor: Build a strong rapport with drivers, fostering a culture of safety and open communication. Train, coach, and motivate them to prioritize safe driving practices every mile.
The Advocate and Collaborator: Work with leadership, dispatch, and other departments to integrate safety into all aspects of our operation. Your voice will be heard, your ideas valued.
The Quick Learner and Adaptor: The Trucking Industry is dynamic. You'll stay ahead of the curve, embracing new regulations and technologies to keep our safety programs cutting-edge.
To succeed in this fast-paced environment, you'll need:
Minimum 5 years of experience in trucking safety or a related field.
Proven track record of implementing and improving safety programs.
Deep understanding of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Strong analytical and data-driven approach to problem-solving.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
