Fleet Safety and Compliance Specialist
Jasper Engines & Transmissions, the nation's largest re-manufacturer of engines and transmissions, has been thriving since 1942 by working hard and having fun! We are seeking a Fleet Safety and Compliance Specialist to help keep JASPER's Fleet Safety and Compliance as one of our top priorities. JASPER prides itself on a culture of safety and this position drives that culture throughout our nationwide fleet. JASPER has 52 branch locations around the country and the Safety and Compliance Specialist will work closely with the associates at those facilities. This position also works closely with our Director of Branch Operations and our Fleet Management Department to ensure the entire fleet meets all safety and DOT regulations.
Job Description: This position serves as the primary point of contact for all calls and follow-up associated with accidents and incidents. This individual will also be required to stay up to date on current FMCSA 49 Rules and Regulations to ensure our fleet and drivers stay compliant with local and federal regulations. This position is also responsible for directing JASPER's Fleet Safety training initiatives which includes coordinating the quarterly driver video training, managing the in cab event recorders, telematics programs and other various compliance related tasks. This associate will be the primary point of contact dealing with insurance companies and all parties involved with accidents so prior experience in the insurance field is a plus. This position oversees all driver post-accident drug and alcohol testing. Limited travel may be required for training and continued education. Travel estimate less than 10%.

Qualifications:
- Knowledge of DOT & FMCSA regulations preferred
- Prior experience with GeoTab, ELDs, or other telematics programs a plus
- Ability to negotiate settlements
- Insurance industry knowledge a plus
- Must possess a high level of detail
- Good phone and speaking skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications; Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Must be highly organized
- Strong computer skills are critical
- Must have the ability to multitask
- Willingness to learn
