Fleet Mechanic / Manager

We are looking for a Fleet Manager, to oversee our entire fleet. From Day Cabs, Cargo Vans to Box Trucks, and step vans, our Fleet Manager will maintain all types of vehicles.
Position Responsibilities:
· Diagnose and maintain all fleet maintenance (preventative, mechanical, electrical) to maintain vehicles’ operations abilities and prolong lifespan of the fleet.**
· Ability to replace pigtail lines, change fifth wheels, manage overall health of the tractor.**
· Routinely examines all vehicles and equipment for potential problems and responds to all requests for service calls and maintenance needs/issues.**
· Determines necessary repairs, responsible for estimate costs and determines the appropriate steps to take to ensure safety and integrity of our fleet and equipment.**
· Manages inspection records for compliance and maintains updates for all records and logs and ensures all vehicles are DOT Compliant.**
· Responsible for inputting all data in Fleetio as it pertains to mileage, cost analysis for each vehicle (collision repairs, brakes, tires) and all other pertinent information.**
· Manage vendors relationships (Ricart, Crown Mercedes, Central Ohio Autobody, Williams Road Tires, Discount AutoGlass, etc). Negotiates contracts and pricing for car parts, rentals, maintenance needs, etc.**
· Provides recommendations for purchasing new equipment and acquiring new vehicles through a bid/evaluation process.**
· Monitors budget for all fleet and facility needs.**
Position Qualifications:**
· 3+ years’ experience in managing a fleet maintenance program
· 3+ years’ experience planning and working with vehicle mechanics
· Knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations relating to proper maintenance and operations of commercial vehicles.
· Basic knowledge of math and accounting principles
· Strong leadership skills with servant-leader approach
· Reliable professional who is proactive, self-motivated and forward thinking
· Motivated to succeed in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multitask and quickly change direction
· Knowledge of techniques/tools/materials for maintenance and repair of machinery and vehicles
· Valid Driver’s License with ability to drive a CDL Class A is a strong plus

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
