Position Overview:
A best-in-class electrical contractor is searching for an experienced Fleet Coordinator to be part of our team. You will be responsible for providing quality service and support to our operating divisions at various locations operated by I.B. Abel, Inc. This position requires day to day interaction with effective communication and support services between the Fleet, Operations, Training, and Safety & Quality departments as well as Field operations in the Communications, Electrical, and Utility divisions.
Base Location/Travel Requirements:
- Office assignment: Fleet Terminal in York, PA.
- Occasional travel as necessary to other offices or yard locations, trainings, and offsite meetings.
- Additional customer related travel may also be required at customer facilities.
Essential Functions/Duties:
- Facilitate the movement of equipment based on SharePoint requests and communicate with all affected parties
- Troubleshoot equipment issues by being a subject matter expert.
- Maintain knowledge of the status of Fleet and locations of equipment.
- Coordinate and regularly follow up with field leadership to ensure deliveries and pickups are completed by the specified date/time. This will involve communication within the Fleet team as well as outside vendors.
- Ensure Vista is current with equipment moves.
- Dispatch drivers or vendors to move/deliver equipment.
- Assist with moving equipment as needed.
Education, Skills, Experience:
Required:
- Over five years work experience in Logistics or Operations.
- Possess a driving record free of moving violations or accidents and have the ability to drive company vehicles safely.
- Ability to acquire a DOT medical card.
- Experience using Outlook Suite, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word is required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule during peak demands.
Preferred:
- Specific expertise in both heavy equipment and boom-equipped vehicles (aerial devices).
