Job description

JOB SUMMARY: To inspect and repair company vehicles. Perform preventive maintenance on ambulance fleet and other company vehicles.
REPORTS TO: Maintenance Shop Supervisor
Senior Manager - Fleet Maintenance
EQUIPMENT: Tech I, Tech II diagnostic computer, Freon recovery and recycling, truck, parts washer, grinders, time-clock, phone, air tools, and computer

  1. Inspect and repair company vehicles
  2. Preventive Maintenance on ambulance fleet and other company vehicles.
  3. Write work tickets
  4. Mechanical related repairs
  5. Work with shop employees, Supervisors
  6. Electrical repairs
  7. Drive vehicles

QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. High School education or GED required.
  2. Clean driving record; current driver's license (Class-C TX; Class-D LA/MS)
  3. On the job training with two to three years of mechanical experience; related training by G.M. or other schools (trade or otherwise).
  4. Mechanical knowledge; reading; writing; speaking; hand tool use; specialized tool use.
  5. Have basic hand tools.
