This role will manage the capitalization of construction-in-progress (CIP) balance for US Operations/ QA organizations.
Reconciliation of outstanding total CIP balance to general ledger by individual project.
Working closely with business partners to determine the methodology to capitalize CIP balance within each project into individual fixed assets.
Completion of fixed asset capitalization form and submit to Corporate to process the asset capitalization.
Preparation of bi-weekly project status reports to summarize the progress of capitalization effort.
Skill/Experience Requirements:
2 to 4 years of relevant experience (fixed asset experience preferred); does not have to be in Med. Device or Pharma
This is more Project Based capitalizing assets as they come in; help tackle assets and conduct research; Reconciling Balance of CIP (Construction-in-Progress)
Requires interaction with business partners in determining how they want to capitalize fixed assets.
Will work independently with SOW (Statement of Work) and purchase orders analyzing the purchase and how should it be capitalized for submittal to Corporate
Doing split costs and preparing documents for capitalization
Advanced Excel Skills are required.
Good Communication skills to work with Finance and Operations leadership.
Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking skills.
Self-motivated person to be able to work independently.
Must have:
Must have strong communication and articulation skills
Must have strong problem solving skills to be able to do independent research
Must have strong analytical skills, be a critical thinker and have the ability to work with team members
Must have SAP system experience
Education: Bachelors degree is required in Finance or Accounting
Interview Process:
Video meetings via Teams with 1 person in the 1st round
Potential onsite interviews with 3 people for the 2nd round.
