As the Fitness And Wellness Coordinator, you will have the unique opportunity to educate, inspire and motivate our guests to incorporate wellness and movement into their vacation and beyond. Job Title: Fitness & Wellness Coordinator (Part-time)
Hourly Pay: $26.25
What you will be doing:
- Assist guest regarding spa-fitness menu items in an informative and helpful way.
- Have full knowledge of all spa-fitness menu items, products and methods while monitoring emerging trends in the wellness and fitness industry; reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and benchmarking state-of-the-art practices.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure fitness and wellness programming is available to guests.
- Ensure overall cleanliness and maintenance of our fitness center, including stocking all service area items including towels, fruit and headphones as well as maintaining smooth operation of all equipment through periodic service checks and reporting work orders promptly.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all strength and cardio equipment and their programs as well as the proper use, alignment, safety and contraindications.
- Maintain professional certifications while continually pursuing a greater degree of knowledge and expertise through self-study, in-services offered, program development and other continuing education efforts.
- Lead fitness exercise sessions, personal training sessions, group training experiences and in-service education sessions as needed.
- Liaise between fitness instructors for scheduling and coordination of fitness offerings
- Appointment setting and scheduling of personal training and private group classes
- Coordinating various colleague and guest events, signature events and other revenue-generating fitness/wellness programs.
- Coordinate with fitness instructors to ensure timely invoicing and month-end process.
- Maintain adequate stock levels for Fitness Center supplies and equipment by placing monthly orders, adhering to Fitness Center budget.
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
- Personal trainer and/or Group Fitness Certification(s) through a nationally recognized certifying agency/organization (NSCA, NASM, ACSM, ACE, AFAA, ISSA)
- College degree in a wellness-related field is an asset
- Minimum 1-year experience in the spa fitness industry is an asset
- TB clearance
- Food Safety or ServSafe Certification
- CPR/First Aid
