Fitness Program Manager - Irving, TX

Onsite leadership role in Las Colinas focused on fitness & fun!

 

As a Fitness Program Manager with HealthFitness, you'll manage and direct all operational & delivery aspects of a mid-sized, single client on-site program and a very large virtual Fitness Program ensuring the highest level of participation, results achievement, and customer satisfaction.  You will be responsible for contract compliance, strategic business planning, staff supervision, design and facilitation of a variety of health & Fitness Programs, and administrative duties including management reports. In addition to leading a small team, you'll implement and instruct individual/group Fitness Programs and provide floor supervision, fitness testing, exercise prescriptions, and orientations. A key focus of this position is leading & extensively coordinating the supported client's teams in the Richardson Corporate Games. Monday-Friday, in-person work schedule.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Coordinates the team tryouts, training, and preparation for the Richardson Corporate Games.
  • Directs the implementation of fitness center based and virtual Fitness Programs, health education activities, motivational programs, and special events. Coordinates marketing and communications to maximize program engagement, bringing in HealthFitness Corporate support as appropriate. 
  • Manages all fitness center program activities in accordance with HealthFitness operational, quality, safety, and service standards.
  • Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with HealthFitness policies, procedures and applicable laws including recruiting, orienting, training, evaluating, developing and planning the succession of associates. Plan, assign and direct work assignments to ensure staff remains challenged and productivity is maximized. Submits employment forms, payroll records and billing worksheets accurately and according to contract provisions and HealthFitness policies.
  • Staff training & development to promote and encourage career growth. Ensures certifications for safe and effective program delivery, conducts annual formal performance appraisals, and initiates formal corrective action process when warranted.
  • Leads regular individual and group staff meetings for small team to ensure associates are informed about HealthFitness, client and program events, initiatives, and status.
  • Ensures contract compliance and manages client relationship to ensure that high customer satisfaction is maintained and HealthFitness value is reinforced.
  • Develops and manages the yearly strategic business plan, operating budget, and outcomes focused programs that meet client objectives.
  • Tracks and reports participant and program data for measurement of individual and program goal achievement and results.
  • Other duties as needed/assigned.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Health Promotion, Kinesiology or related discipline required or the equivalent combination of education, certifications and experience.
  • 2+ years related industry experience.
  • Ability to lead, manage and operate a fitness center & provide effective virtual programming. Proficiency in fitness assessment and exercise prescription.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills including the ability to motivate others. Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office including at minimum Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Current Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute.
  • Industry recognized Group Exercise certification from ACE, AFAA/NASM, ACSM, NCCPT, ISSA, or NETA required within 3 months of hire.
  • Personal Training certification from an industry recognized and HealthFitness approved provider required within 3 months of hire.
  • Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test.
