Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Greet members and guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
Provide information about the Fitness Center's services, facilities, and membership options.
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries with professionalism and enthusiasm.
Assist members with any issues or concerns and escalate as needed.
Member Management: Process new member registrations, including membership applications and waivers.
Handle membership renewals and cancellations, following established procedures.
Verify and update member information in the database.
Issue memberships and maintain accurate records.
Financial Transactions: Collect membership fees, guest fees, and other payments accurately.
Handle cash transactions, issue receipts, and ensure proper documentation.
Address billing inquiries and resolve payment issues with members.
Administrative Support: Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and managing member files.
Schedule appointments for personal training sessions or facility tours.
Member Communication: Communicate important information to members, such as schedule changes or facility updates.
Manage inquiries via email and ensure timely responses.
Assist in the development and distribution of newsletters or other communication materials.
Safety and Security: Monitor access to the Fitness Center and ensure only authorized individuals enter.
Enforce safety and security policies, including checking member IDs and verifying guest registrations.
Collaborate with management to address any security concerns.
Sales and Promotion: Promote Fitness Center programs, classes, and special events to current and potential members.
Encourage members to participate in additional services or upgrade their memberships.
Collaborate with marketing efforts to attract new members.
Problem Resolution: Handle member concerns or complaints with professionalism and empathy.
Escalate issues to management as needed and follow up to ensure resolution.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; experience and interest in the fitness field preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Familiarity with Fitness Center operations and membership management systems is advantageous.
- Proficient in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, membership software).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 30 per week
