Fish Butcher
We are seeking industry leading talent to help our Team in their mission to Change the World through the Power of Food! The Hourly Fish Butcher is responsible for preparing and portioning fish for cooking in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This includes cleaning, filleting, and deboning fish, as well as preparing various fish dishes. Reports to Head Chef and Sous Chefs
Responsibilities:
- Clean, fillet, and debone fish according to standard recipes and techniques
- Prepare various fish dishes, such as sushi and ceviche
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Work well with a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience as a Fish Butcher or similar role
- Knowledge of various fish types and cuts
- Strong knife skills
- Ability to work well in a team
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Physical Demands:
- Standing for long periods of time
- Lifting up to 50 pounds
- Repetitive motions (cutting, filleting)
Hours of Work:
- Hourly, flexible schedule. Some weekends and evenings may be required.
