Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced 1st Class Marine Pipe Welders for projects located in and around Newport News, VA . We are hiring for all shifts at a pay range of up to $50/hour based on experience plus $120/Per Diem to Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:
Copper Nickel Mirror Welding in Restricted Access Locations
Multi-pass
All Position Fillet and Butt Welds using the (SMAW) Shielded Metal Arc Process
Fuse Inserts and Weld Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, and Copper Nickel Pipe using the SMAW and (GTAW) Gas Tungsten Arc Welding Processes
Mirror Weld using the SMAW and GTAW Processes
Heating Oxygen/Propane Heating Torch
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 Years of Experience as a Marine Pipe Welder
Experience with Copper Nickel Mirror Welding
Open to Working All Shifts
US Citizen
Pass Various Weld Tests
Experience Working in Physically Demanding Environments, Shipboard Sub-Assemblies, Ladders, Staging, etc.
Ability to Properly use Fillet Gauges, Butt Gauges and a Six Inch Scale
Pass a Drug Screen and Background Check
