Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
This role requires solid design and implementation experience on Checkpoint FW/IPS R75/R77 Gaia, and Cisco ASA Firewalls (CSM).
Proxy experience with Bluecoat or others a plus, as well as Cisco SSL VPN, Clean Access and ACS.
As a member of the IT Security team, this individual will manage security policies in physical and virtualized data centers, and assist with security incident investigations.
Role requires advanced knowledge of networking and communication protocols along with deep packet analysis.
Experience with migrations of both physical and virtualized data centers a plus, as well as knowledge of Amazon Cloud (AWS) security architecture.
Experience with firewall analyzer tools to perform policy optimization, risk analysis and change monitoring.
Solid troubleshooting skills, good communications skills both written and oral, ability to multitask in a fast, dynamic environment.
Good team player, willing to work weekends occasionally and willing to be on call as needed.
Ability to work independently and with limited guidance, ability to identify problems and resolve collaboratively with other functional teams and business partners
Advanced understanding of common IT security controls and protocols.
Checkpoint Firewall certification preferred, but not required.
