A Fire Sprinkler Technician is responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, and maintaining Fire Sprinkler systems in commercial buildings. They ensure that the systems are functioning properly and in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Candidates with State of Ohio Sprinkler license are preferred.
Key Responsibilities- Install Fire Sprinkler systems in new construction projects
- Inspect and test Fire Sprinkler systems to ensure they are functioning properly
- Perform routine maintenance on Fire Sprinkler systems
- Repair or replace damaged or malfunctioning components of Fire Sprinkler systems
- Ensure that Fire Sprinkler systems are in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Provide training to building owners and occupants on the proper use and maintenance of Fire Sprinkler systems
- Respond to emergency calls to repair or replace Fire Sprinkler systems
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Have or obtain State of Ohio Fire Marshall license
- Completion of a Fire Sprinkler Technician training program or apprenticeship
- Experience in installing, inspecting, testing, and maintaining Fire Sprinkler systems
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to Fire Sprinkler systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
