Overview: Place Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Sprinkler Superintendent to join our Commercial Construction team, to be based out of our Greenville, SC office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of Fire Sprinkler systems in various commercial construction projects. The Fire Sprinkler Superintendent will play a crucial role in ensuring that all fire protection systems meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and are executed efficiently within project timelines.
Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight:
- Manage and supervise the installation of Fire Sprinkler systems on commercial construction projects
- Ensure adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budgetary constraints
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of technicians and subcontractors involved in Fire Sprinkler system installation
- Conduct regular meetings to communicate project objectives, expectations, and safety guidelines
- Quality Assurance:
- Conduct inspections to ensure the quality and compliance of installed Fire Sprinkler systems
- Address any issues promptly and implement corrective measures as needed
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay updated on local, state, and national fire safety codes and regulations
- Ensure all Fire Sprinkler installations comply with relevant codes and standards
- Communication:
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to coordinate project activities
- Provide regular updates on project progress, challenges, and resolutions
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Proven experience as a Fire Sprinkler Superintendent or a similar role in commercial construction
- Extensive knowledge of fire protection systems, codes, and standards
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with the installation and maintenance of various types of Fire Sprinkler systems
- Leadership Abilities:
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to make sound decisions and solve problems effectively
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse project teams and stakeholders
- Organizational Skills:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Safety Focus:
- Commitment to promoting and enforcing safety protocols on construction sites
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety best practices.
- Problem Solving:
- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues during project execution
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and unforeseen challenges
Physical Requirements:
- The ability to lift 75 lbs
- The ability to transfer 130 lbs a distance of 12 feet with the help of another person
- The ability to ascend and descent ladders and other elevated structures
- Must be able to work from heights from an elevated aerial device
