Overview: PSI is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Fire Sprinkler Foreman to join our Commercial Construction team, to be based out of our Greenville, SC location. The Fire Sprinkler Foreman will be responsible for leading and coordinating the installation, maintenance, and repair of Fire Sprinkler systems on various commercial construction projects. This role requires a hands-on leader with excellent technical knowledge and the ability to ensure the successful execution of fire protection projects.
Responsibilities:
- Project Execution:
- Supervise and lead a team in the installation and maintenance of Fire Sprinkler systems
- Ensure that projects are completed within specified timelines and budget constraints
- Technical Expertise:
- Possess in-depth knowledge of Fire Sprinkler systems, including various types and their installation requirements
- Provide guidance to the team on proper installation techniques and troubleshooting
- Team Leadership:
- Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to quality
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate project goals, safety protocols, and expectations
- Quality Assurance:
- Perform regular inspections to ensure the quality and compliance of Fire Sprinkler installations
- Address and resolve any issues that may arise during the construction process
- Collaboration:
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution
- Communicate effectively with the project team to provide updates on progress and address any concerns
- Safety Compliance:
- Enforce safety standards and procedures on construction sites
- Conduct safety meetings and ensure that all team members adhere to OSHA regulations
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Proven experience as a Fire Sprinkler Foreman or a similar leadership role in commercial construction
- Hands-on experience with the installation and maintenance of Fire Sprinkler systems
- Technical Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Proficient in the use of tools and equipment related to Fire Sprinkler system installation
- Leadership Abilities:
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to motivate and guide a team to achieve project goals
- Communication Skills:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate project requirements and updates to team members and other stakeholders
- Problem-Solving:
- Proactive approach to identifying and solving issues during project execution
- Ability to make quick decisions and adapt to changing project requirements
- Organizational Skills:
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Physical Requirements:
- The ability to lift 75 lbs
- The ability to transfer 130 lbs a distance of 12 feet with the help of another person
- The ability to ascend and descend ladders and other elevated structures
- Must be able to work from heights from an elevated aerial device
