Full-time Fire Sprinkler Apprenticeship program. This is a full-time (40 hrs/week) position involving installation of Fire Sprinkler systems. The candidate must have a good positive attitude, be self-motivated, accurate, detail-oriented, organized, and trustworthy.
Job Details:
The installation of life saving Fire Sprinkler systems includes but not limited to unloading/loading of trucks, cutting/threading/wrenching pipe, operating equipment, and use of hand tools. Job includes working in all seasonal environments from the extreme summer heat to the extreme winter cold. Employee must be comfortable working at building roof heights as job includes the use of ladders/scissor lifts for installation. Employee must be willing to travel to jobsites which generally range from 30 to 120 miles from your home.
A typical work shift is from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm M-F. However, hours may occasionally vary to anytime of day/night/weekend with increased pay. Job includes competitive base pay, full health benefits, and retirement pension.
After completion of 5 year program, Sprinkler Fitter pay over $40/hr!
Job Qualifications:
Looking for candidates with a High School diploma, valid driver’s license, and with mechanical experience. However, experience is not required. The apprenticeship program includes 5 years of extensive training to prepare to become a Sprinkler Fitter. Background check and drug screen required. If you have experience and knowledge of the Greater Harrisburg region that would be helpful.
Required Job Related Skills:
Candidate must be able to drive a pickup truck and must be experienced in the use of hand tools. Candidate must be able to learn company procedures and must be able to lift up to 80 lb objects at a time.
