**Job Title: Fire Sprinkler Apprentice**

**Job Summary:**

As a Fire Sprinkler Apprentice, you will be part of a team responsible for installing, inspecting, and maintaining Fire Sprinkler systems to ensure the safety of buildings and occupants. Under the guidance of experienced technicians, you will learn the fundamentals of Fire Sprinkler systems, including their components, operation, and maintenance procedures. This hands-on training will provide you with valuable skills and knowledge to pursue a career in fire protection.

**Responsibilities:**

1. Assist in the installation of Fire Sprinkler systems according to blueprints and specifications.

2. Learn to identify and assemble various types of sprinkler heads, pipes, valves, and other components.

3. Assist in conducting inspections and tests on existing Fire Sprinkler systems to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.

4. Learn to troubleshoot and repair issues with Fire Sprinkler systems, including leaks, malfunctions, and damaged components.

5. Assist in maintaining accurate records of work performed, including inspections, tests, and maintenance activities.

6. Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

7. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to expand your knowledge and skills in fire protection systems.

**Qualifications:**

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in learning about fire protection systems.

3. Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions from experienced technicians.

4. Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

5. Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

6. Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces, as required.

7. Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is desirable but not required.

**Physical Requirements:**

1. Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials (up to 50 pounds).

2. Ability to work in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.

3. Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Overtime

Ability to Relocate:

• New Orleans, LA: Relocate before starting work (Required)
