Fire Response Specialist

Tesla has an outstanding opportunity available for a skilled fire emergency professional to join the Emergency Services Division at our Fremont, CA manufacturing factory. The Fire Response Technician supports the Fire and EMS teams by assisting with on-site associate transport following medical events. Technicians are also trained to support and function as a fire emergency responder based on staffing needs, high call volume, specified training events, and other circumstances as determined. This role is intended to provide external hires with skills, training, and experience needed to advance to the Fire Response Specialist position. This role is managed by the Fire Response Associate Manager but may work in direct support of the Fire Response Lead, EMS-Responders, and On-Site Medical/Workplace Health teams.

Day Shifts available: 7:00AM – 7:00PM 

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday
Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday

Night Shifts available: 7:00PM – 7:00AM (10% pay differential)

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday
Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday

• Current California paramedic license or EMT-Basiccertification and valid driver’s license required
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (CPR and AED) certification(ACLS, PALS, and ITLS or PHTLS highly desired)
• Industrial Firefighting certification or related experiencepreferred
• ICS 100, 200, 700 and 800 (ICS 300 and 400 highly desired)
• Hazardous Materials Operations level
• 1+ years prior experience as a firefighter with FF1certification or graduation from an accredited fire academy
• Ability to communicate concisely, clearly, and effectivelyin both written and verbal forms
• Must be able to work past scheduled end-of-shift forstaffing or incident holdovers, as well as days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to size-up complex emergency situations and employappropriate strategies and tactics to minimize losses Ability to act inaccordance with Tesla requirements as well as State and Federal laws,regulations, operational procedures, policies, and statutes

• Must be comfortable in confined spaces and wearing a SCBA
• Must be able to initially and annually pass a physical testsimilar to the CPAT
• Mustcomplete medical baseline assessment and have the ability to complete physicallystrenuous tasks associated with fire suppression, for extended periods of time
