As a Fire Protection Engineering Intern working with our Built Environments team, you'll use your skills and experience to help deliver and complete challenging and engaging buildings projects. You'll be introduced to the design of sprinkler systems, special hazards suppression systems, fire pumps, fire alarm systems, and building/life safety codes under the guidance of a knowledgeable team of experienced Fire Protection Engineers.
You'll be a part of diverse multi-discipline teams allowing you to both share what you know and learn so you can grow. - In pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Fire Protection Engineering from an accredited program
- Working knowldege of Microsoft Office programs
- A desire to learn fire alarm, fire suppression, and life safety design
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good reading and listening skills
- Self-driven time management and organizational skills
- US Citizenship required
Ideally, you'll also have:
- 3.0 GPA, minimum
- Must be at least a rising Senior
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Revit or both
- Working knowledge of hydraulic calculation programs
- Self-driven time management and organizational skills
- Familiarity with hydraulics/fluid dynamics
