- Serve as the Fire Protection Engineering design lead on projects. This includes making Fire Protection Engineering design decisions on suppression systems, fire alarm systems, mass notifications, and assisting Architecture with Life Safety design.
- Performs accurate, legible and well thought out design calculations.
- Coordinates Fire Protection Engineering design with other disciplines; highlighting design components that will impact the other discipline's design so that the overall design is constructible without conflict.
- Attends project kick off meetings and coordination meetings.
- Works independently with minimal supervision; is self-motivated and has initiative.
- Performs assigned tasks in accordance with company QC procedures.
- Manages the Fire Protection Engineering design on multiple projects.
- Communicates with clients as needed and defined by project.
- Develops and maintains positive customer and client relationships to foster repeat business. Contacts clients and/or contractors as needed on specific jobs.
- May supervise and review the work of Technicians and Designers assigned to project team. Delegates work to subordinate Designers/Technicians.

Many factors are considered when determining compensation at Pond, including scope and level of position, geographic location, candidate skill, knowledge and experience. Starting base pay may vary depending on these factors. We anticipate filling this position as a Fire Protection Engineer II with a salary range of $62,900.00 - $94,400.00 .
