Fire Extinguisher Technician

Fire Protection Testing is seeking a Fire Extinguisher Technician for an immediate opening. The primary duties of this position include:

• Performing Fire Extinguisher Inspections according to NFPA codes at customer sites
• Sales of new extinguishers to existing customer
• Refilling of Fire Extinguishers
• Completing electronic inspection reports on a tablet in the field
• Assist with parts and supply ordering and maintaining minimum levels of inventory
• Willingness and ability to test for, acquire, and keep up to date the licensing, training, and certifications necessary to perform job functions

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with a clean record
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment background check and drug screen
• Physical requirements: ability to sit or stand for several hours at a time; and lift or move up to 50-pounds
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision

Preferred Experience:

• OSHA-10 or -30 certification
• Forklift certified
• Previous Fire Extinguisher inspection experience

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
