Open Positions: Pipe Fitters, Fire Alarm technicians, Hood Systems installation, Fire Extinguishers, Test/Inspections.
Fire Extinguisher Technician
The Fire Extinguisher Technician is responsible for performing scheduled or unscheduled maintenance and inspections on Fire Extinguishers.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Conducts routine tests and inspections, documents deficiencies of Fire Extinguishers and other fire safety product lines according to prescribed processes.
- Performance of daily, weekly, monthly and/or annual inspections and preventative maintenance services on various extinguisher or suppression systems
- Repair, replace, fill and tag all Fire Extinguishers
- Verifies proper operation; prepares accurate and timely documentation of work performed.
- Prepares inspection/ deficiency reports for submission to management.
- Interfaces with service management to ensure that all work is scheduled/handled.
- Interfaces with customers to explain work performed and answers their questions.
- Resolve customer concerns as quickly and effectively as possible.
- Must ensure customer satisfaction and a positive customer experience.
- Maintains and organizes truck inventory (equipment/parts and tools) to ensure proper response to customers’ needs.
- Must adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
- Must have a strong work ethic.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- Excellent customer service skills – Friendly demeanor.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Attention to Detail & Good Follow-Through.
- Must work in a professional and safe manner appropriate to the fire life safety industry.
- Ability to work independently, be mechanically inclined, and self-motivated.
- Excellent Communication Skills in English – Written and Verbal.
- Computer technology, apps, phones, software etc..
- Willing to learn new technology, programs and system upgrades.
- Valid Drivers License with a safe driving record
- Ability to adhere to and follow instructions, procedures, safety guidelines, rules and regulations at all times.
- Capable of performing physical labor including carrying and/or moving items weighing up to 50 lbs.'
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
