Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Extinguisher Technician to join our team. As a Fire Extinguisher Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper installation, maintenance, and repair of Fire Extinguishers and fire protection systems. This is a critical role in ensuring the safety of our clients and their properties.

Responsibilities

- Install, inspect, test, and maintain Fire Extinguishers and other fire protection equipment

- Inspect/Service hand portable Fire Extinguishers

- Maintenance/Repair hand portable Fire Extinguishers

- Install hand portable Fire Extinguishers

- Conduct regular inspections to identify any issues or potential hazards

- Inspect/Service pre-engineered fire suppression systems

- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects

- Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding fire protection

- Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed

- Inspect/Test/Service Exit and Emergency Lights

- Site survey to document code violations

- Create detailed reports, surveys, and inspections for customers to report any code violations and upcoming repairs/maintenance

Must Have

- High School education or equivalent

- Trouble shooting/problem solving skills/critical thinking

- Valid driver's license with clean record

- The ability to create legible reports with the ability to verbally convey to the customers and fellow team members

- The ability to physically perform the mobility requirements of the job: walking, carrying heavy objects, climbing ladders, etc

- The understanding of how to read a tape measure

To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience:

- Experience of codes is preferred but not required

- Experience of hand portables and suppression systems is preferred by not required

- Basic mechanical aptitude

* There is a 90 day probationary period

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
