General Job Description

Under the supervision of a higher classified officer, this position responds to emergency fire service requests; carries out a variety of tasks relating to setting up fire apparatus, controlling fires and life saving techniques by using defined procedures and practices; responds to fires, medical emergencies and other emergency situations to administer life support care to sick and injured persons. In addition, this position performs routine maintenance and cleaning of fire equipment and physical facilities of fire station.
