Fire Alarm Technician

Responsibilities:

- Install, maintain, and repair Fire Alarm systems in residential and commercial buildings.

- Conduct site surveys to gather design criteria for Fire Alarm system components.

- Program and test Fire Alarm systems to ensure proper functionality.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Fire Alarm systems, including diagnosing and repairing faulty components.

- Collaborate with customers to customize Fire Alarm system settings based on their specific needs.

- Keep accurate records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance performed.

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in Fire Alarm system technology.

Qualifications:

- A vaild Texas FAL (Fire Alarm License) is required.

- Familiarity with NFPA (70, 72, and 101) requirements for Fire Alarm system installation and testing

- Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements for alarm system installation.

- Proficiency in using hand tools and specialized equipment for installation and repairs.

- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with Fire Alarm systems.

- Ability to detect and resolve problems with cabling and wiring connections.

- Familiarity with reading and interpreting schematics for Fire Alarm systems.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
