Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible to the assigned supervisor.Work solo or with other craftsman/crews in the performance of assigned work duties. Coordinates work/inspections with facility managers/occupants.Must be able to troubleshoot and identify problems.Researches and requisitions materials, and prepares necessary documents and reports.Makes necessary repairs to fire/duress Alarm Systems for compliance with specifications.Responds to emergency repair calls to restore operations upon notice during regular hours or after duty on-call hours.
  • Accomplishes periodic inspections, recurring maintenance requirements and associated documentation.Maintains systems to conform to written guidance and applicable changes.
  • Inspects, tests, installs and modifies control panels and associate equipment such as detectors.
  • Able to use test instruments.
  • Maintains required operating forms and records and assures proper use of all assigned shop equipment.Responsible for on-the-job training as required.
  • Responsible to perform all assigned duties as safely and efficiently as possible to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Knowledgeable in analog and digital electronics.
  • Able to read and interpret Work Orders, parts requests, drawings/schematics/blueprints and manuals in order to accomplish assigned duties.
  • Performs quality assurance through job site visits.
  • Inspect test and maintain cathodic protection systems.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass a favorable National Agency Check (NAC).
  • Valid Driver License.
  • Formal alarms system training.
  • NICET II Fire Alarm certification, willing to obtain NICET III.
  • Knowledge of NEC, NESC, IEEE, and ANSI standards.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience with Fire Alarms and or like specialties.
  • Cathodic protection Maintenance and testing training.
